Tommy’s has the best steamers and whole belly clams I’ve had since moving to Rhode Island last October. TOMMY’s clam shack takes the time to properly clean and purge the clams so you can enjoy the classic New England soft shelled steamer. Each clam is a succulent, plump little morsel, that is accompanied with drawn butter and lemon wedges that is the tell-tale sign that SUMMER IN NEW ENGLAND IS HERE! Tommy’s is a clean and respectable little gem that does it right! Best fried fish that rivals the fried fish I’ve eaten across the pond in the hamlets of England! The fried fish batter is light, not greasy, fried to a perfect golden brown, and the portions were eye-popping and glorious! What I’m trying to say is that the portions were very generous! I found my go-to place and it’s Tommy’s! Small, locally owned, and operated wins again!
Floridian here! We were on the hunt for chowder, clam cakes, stuffies, and lobster rolls. This place did not disappoint! Everything was so good!
We loved the food here! My daughter was so impressed that she insisted we come back before her summer school at Brown ends. We had lobster rolls, baked scallops, and calamari. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to return!
This place has one of the best Fish and chips I have ever had. I highly recommend a visit great seafood all day long
We visited here for the first time today, and it was great! The service was quick and friendly, and the food came out hot and fast! The portions were a great value for the money. The flavors and textures of the food we ordered were excellent! And the fish, and really everything, seemed very fresh, and tasted great! We ordered clam cakes, both red and white chowder, and also an order of fish and chips. The drinks here are sold from a couple of vending machines to the right of the food pickup window, which was fine. We all enjoyed the experience, and were even debating if we liked it better than Iggy’s (which we love). Tommy’s Clam Shack can definitely hang with Iggy’s, and is now tied as our favorite clam cakes and chowder / fried seafood spot. We had a great experience, and you probably will too! So, go check out Tommy’s!
We always come to Tommy’s for our seafood fix. The prices are pretty reasonable for the portions received. We ordered the clam cakes, lobster roll, and fish and chips which were all very flavorful. Service was pretty quick and efficient as well for a busy day. Friendly staff and the picnic tables are very clean.
Nice place. Dog friendly. Just have to either bring your own drinks or 2 for the vending machine. But the food was great
Tommy’s has the BEST clam cakes in RI! Lobster rolls are stuffed and worth every cent! I’ve tried lobster rolls all over the state and Tommy’s is still my favorite.
